In jumping shows, I have seen horses with a colored ribbon in the tail, what is the meaning of the different colors?
Red- kicks
Yellow- stallion (keep mares away)
Green- young
White- for sale
Blue- stallion or agressive gelding
Purple- moody mare
When I compete, if my horse is used to kick, I always put a red ribbon in his tail. It can avoid you bad surprises and if something happen, people cannot say you did not warned them.
Green car also mean the horse is for sale and yellow that the horse is young!
Every color means something. It is important to know their sens.
Red means the horse is liable to kick.
Green is for young horses.
Blue is for stallion or agressive gelding.
White means the horse is for sale.
Pink is for a mare in heat.
It has a meaning! It is a way to communicate with other riders. Each color has a meaning and informs people about your horse.
