Dissapointing. Bad for the industry.
I think it doesn't make much sense. You can't really whip a horse to death. I've seen horses get whipped even 40 times in a row and other than being in pain and terrified they showed no signs of being physically in such danger.
The horse probably had a heart condition.
Stress can surely kill. Probably was that.
I doubt they'll conclude anything.
In general though some horses are handled really brutally but don't die. Those are the beasts we should be really going after.
We should wait what the FEI says, they're the only ones who know what happened. Maybe that was an heart attack or that's maybe the rider's fault. If it is, he shouldn't approach an other animal forever!
It is said that he whipped the horse until exhaustion ... That's an awful fact... I don't understand why there's no more media on it, the international riders etc...
