Do you think it's okay to put a cold bit in a horse's mouth? Does it matter?

Do you think it's okay to put a cold bit in a horse's mouth? Does it matter?
You could, but it's not nice feeling for the horse what's so ever. If you hold it in your hands for 2-3 minutes it'll be okay. I live in Canada so I bought my horses but a heater to keep it warm so I don't have to take my groves off. 😂 I would suggest a bit heater if you don't want to warm it yourself
I always run it under hot water. It's not pleasant at all if it's cold.
I run the bit under hot water just before bridling in the winter
Okay, thanks everyone! I have a tack shed that I keep everything in, except it's not heated. I'll bring my bridles into the house :)
If it's freezing cold don't but if you rub it in your hands for a minute or two and just get it warmed up you're good.
If it's during the winter, I always leave it in the heated tack room until the last second I'm done grooming, etc. It's just a nicer comfort for them.
Warm it up. How would you like a Cold piece of metal shoved in your mouth?
