What are your tips to have the mane nicely done?

Hi Carole, I like the manes done quite long especially as I always plate for shows. I do them by cutting and eventually pulling if it is really thick to equalize the look (but I also like consistant manes) :)
If it's really long, cut it before pulling it. When cutting, only fever cut vertically so that it doesn't
Look like it was just cut in a straight line.
