Do you have any suggestions about what I should feed young horses (3 years old) and an old horse (21 years old) in the winter?

Look up Step Right or Hoffmins. They got these feeds at some place at the edge of town...I forget what it's called. But they have a huge line of feeds for just maintenance, or senior, performance, yearlings, etc...
Your welcome.:)
All right! Thanks everyone! I'll give some of these a try!
For the 3 year old I'd suggest Alfalfa hay and if he is not good with alfalfa hay then maybe some senior feed .for the 21 year old senior feeds a good one to

Good health starts with good nutrition. Build stronger hooves, longer hair, and healthier horse.

I've used it for my two horses and mini donkey for two years now. Wonderful results.
My 2-year old mare is a super easy keeper and the hay in our valley is pretty good quality so I just give her a vitamin and mineral supplement pellet. Plenty of water and a salt block as well. I've always been a huge fan of less being more unless they physically need help (gaining, losing weight, working more, medical issue, etc.)
