One of the young girls we ride with has had a horse who has been mysteriously lame for months. When she finally got x-rays found out her horse foundered.
i just lunged her and she's much better than last week
I would stick to hand walking. Movement will help open the abscess and it will help with Stocking up
i did call my vet and he came
How about a vet? I hear they are pretty good at injured horses
so i should still work her in the lung? and even if i do the water with epson salt , she has her shoe on..
Stocking up isn't too terrible. I would stick to light work for that. If your vet says its an abscess, then you should do more than 3 days. Hot water and Epsom salts are to draw it out and then wrap it to keep it clean. My horse took almost 2 weeks to bust her abscesses in all 4 feet.
she's ripped off her shoe and the farrier came to put it back on she started limping the vet came took it off it was the start of an abcès but it wasn't i did the thing with diapers for 3 days she was 5 days without any shoe on that leg and then we put it back on i rode her she was limping again the farrier took it off and put it back on 3 different ways and she's still lame so i don't know if i should lung her or something because she man swollen from her back legs because no she hasn't done exercise since the 30
Could be an abscess or sole bruise
yes! there's nothing!!
Have you checked for heat and swelling?
