Ask Amélie Ravene : What are the effects of electrolytes on the horse?

Hello Rebecca,

Electrolytes are essential to the life of your horse. You have to compensate for their loss by rehydrating your equine and associating liquid Nutrilyte or Nutrilyte flash to avoid cramps, stiffness or those of the day after an intense effort.

After each show you can administer directly into the mouth a Nutrilyte flash syringe or 50 ml Nutrilyte liquid solution enriched with organic honey directly into the ration. Sodium encourages the horse to drink and it is very important to always leave fresh water at your horse's disposal.

There is no habituation possible because we quickly compensate for elements that are lost during an effort.
