Glucosamine isnt really proven to have any effect on a horse if given orally, I'd recommend talking to your vet about doing glucosamine injections. My guy only has to be done once a week and it works really well

Hello Elizabeth! For the consumer, this makes choosing the "right" supplement a real crapshoot. Most of us aren't scientists, it comes down to which product has the most convincing name and the most eye-catching packaging. But the hard, unvarnished truth of it is that oral joint supplements still have very little proof of efficacy behind them, even after having been on the North American market for more than a decade. I know at right now, liquid supplements are trendy. I am for natural foods, no supplement! But I know two supplements that work well, it's flax (its virtues are confirmed by medicine, against pain, constipation, and excess cholesterol), and garlic powder.
