Try and push through the back of your leg when posting , also sometimes if your stirrup is too long this happens, maybe experiment with you stirrups and try keeping your weight through your butt and down through the back of your leg
Check your saddle fit ,if your sitting in a chair position you won't be able to keep your leg position
Try pushing your knees downards, not inwards. Try not to lean forward and try to move your seat along with the horse's movement. A nice way to practice is to have someone lunge your horse while you ride so you can focus on yourself. I guess you just need to feel the horse and try to match his movement.
And do you still pinch? Haha did you find getting your own horse and riding daily helped?
My old trainer would tell me he was going to stick thumb tacks under my knees if they didn't stop pinching
Yes thanks! It's hard as when I go into trot my leg seems to slide forward which is quite annoying then I don't have the contact with my leg... just feel my riding is getting worse the more I do
Put a 5$ bill between your lower calf and the horse. If you loose it, your pinching with your knee. Therefore, your goal is to keep the bill where it is.
