Dakota bucks when I try to get him to move at the beginning of my ride, but is fine the rest of the ride! How can I fix his habit?

Lunge before you ride! This will get some energy out
First when you get onbever kick or do anything just let him walk on the rail and do not go in the middle before starting.
Lunging at the beginning of the ride helps
Since he's not my horse, I can't really change his feed. But I'll try lunging him!
Maybe lunging before you ride might help, or changing his feed? It's either because he is excited or just lazy, and the solutions are very different depending on why he is acting up. It also may be because he is stiff or sore, and if so I would get a chiropractor or body worker out.
Belvedere does the same thing. Our clinic trainer showed us taps which is a light kick. Keep kicking as light as u can until he starts walking. Keep doing it until he stops bucking then try squeezinf
I know Keeli bucks when her excitement level gets too high. Maybe he's excited? I don't really know, normally it's the opposite 😂
