Lots and lots of circles before the jump. Don't let him jump until he slows down so he knows that he can't rush into fences. Bounce and one stride grids can also help, but some ottbs tend to rush and not think into them and end up stepping on poles etc. Also, look around on the internet for different exercises to make him think about what he's doing which should make him slow down. Hope this helps🙂
Try and collect him before the jump so after he's not speeding off. Also try and do your 2 point slower so he's slower. If your slower off the ground he will be slower off the ground ❤️
Do you mean before/over the jumps or during a course? Keeli's excitement goes up on courses and what works for me is half halting her and reminding her that I'm there.
