What's the difference between a gallop and a hand gallop?
Hi Summer,
A hand gallop is basically an extended canter. You get up in a slight two point and move your horse out. Its not about going faster, but getting more extension out of the gate.
Hope it helps :)
A hand gallop is an easily controlled gallop, whereas a regular gallop is full out running or regular paced but hard to control
