My off-the-track-thoroughbred mare always does this thing where she rubs her head against me. I'm fine with it but because I'm so short she sometimes pushes me around or knocks me over. Any ideas?

Take a mane brush and when she does it skap her chest bot hard but enough to make a sound
I usually push my horse away and then scratch his face with my hand, so that he isn't hurting me but i still can get a nice good scratch lol
I'm pretty sure she is using me as a scratching post because she loves when I itch her face 😂
My horse uses me as a scratching post because of his sweet itch but if I tell him to stop he usually does. Sometimes I step away or move his head away if he is pushing too hard.
She's either using you as a scratching post or testing who's the boss. Make sure she understands that you are the boss. Do what you want to do when you want to not what she wants to do when she wants to do it. That gives her the impression that she's the boss.
