Has anyone ever had a horse get Tendonitis before? Mine hyperextended his front leg recently at a jumping clinic.
Do you have any suggestion to help the healing process?

Thank you so much! @melindafordrider that was just about what our Specialist vet has told us, with ice boots and heat throughout the day as well. love hearing more suggestions to a successful recovery:)
Hello Lindey,
It is very important to cure the tendonitis seriously so it doesn't come back!
The first thing to do is to respect the protocol the vet gave you.
Generally, the horse have to be at total rest with only handwalks on a hard ground.
Then if it's improving you can start riding him gently and during very short session of walk. After you can start increasing the lenght of the ride and the intensity but always very progressively.
Good luck with your horse's recovery, hope this helps :)
