Congratulations 🎊
It often takes over a year to fully get to know your horse so don't feel dismayed if there's not that magical bond that you were hoping for right away :p Also horses take a long time to adjust to new homes so make sure to let him/her rest for at least a week and spend lots of time with him/her just sitting in the stable, having a chat and getting to know them. First impressions are important and you want your horse to know that you are a safe and trustworthy partner from the get go :))
That is supper exciting! I hope you and your horse do well!
Remember to let the horse rest a few days and settle in. Take it easy and get to know each other. The best thing you can do is not expect it to be perfect right away. It may take longer then you expect to get to know each other. It could take a month to a year. I am sure you will have a great time!
Best of luck and happy rides!
