It DOES get better the more you do it. Keep going.
Just trust your horse and they will go away
Yes! Totally makes sense :)
It's good to be nervous, it means you care!
I get nervous all the time! But once I'm in the ring and riding, I'm too focused to be nervous
I do get nervous before entering the ring and I've compete for 8 years now! But I doesn't bother me to get a little stressed out before the competition, on the contrary, it keeps me focused and dynamic.
As long as it doesn't make you sick and lose your means, stress can be a good thing.
I personally think that if the nervousness go away that means that you no longer care for what you doing.
Hope it answered your question :)
I had the same thought! The answer is yes it will go away for sure. We riders get use to have that feeling when learned how to deal with it.
Did you have that feeling when you first riding, then it went away. It came back when started your canter work then it went away i.e canter became enjoyable and not something you worry about. Then it came back in your jumping lessons if it ever went away from your jumping lessons then it will goes away from the show, it will come back though if the stakes are high and you started jumping 5* shows and so on! That feeling will always be there if it's not then you need to up your game a bit and start something more advanced than what you are doing.
Does it make sense??
