My feet keep sliding forward into my stirrups, does that mean my stirrups are too long ? I have a problem with keeping my heels down could that be why?

You are probably not keeping your heels down far enough so what I recommend is putting your heels down a little bit further. The same thing is happening to me but I figured out that heels further down helps out a lot
Your clinging with your knees
It could be that you are gripping with your knee which will cause your leg to appear shorter, working without stirrups will aid you to keep the knee away from the saddle and keep your leg longer :)
Keep riding flat work with long stirrups, it is actually better! But u have to let go your knees and not squeezing them to the saddle. That makes your lower legs hanging out and floating
@blmeivogel thank you 😊
It is probably because your stirrups are to long
