Ask Pegase Insurance: What do you suggest for horses who travel by truck and plane on a regular basis? And what solutions do you offer for professional horse transporters?

Hi Norman,

There are two options: a year-round contract that involves air travel outside the country where the horse normally resides, or a temporary contract for an occasional trip. In general, this is the first solution chosen because it is cheaper - temporary contracts are proportionally always more expensive. Especially consider looking at the territorial limits of your contract, you must find here all the info.
This type of profession imposes a specific type of civil liability. So that's the first thing we have to do. The horses transported will also be covered by a minimum fixed capital per horse.

Then, you have to guarantee the vehicles used for your profession.
If you are concerned, call us directly and we will gladly advise you.

See you soon, Geraldine
