At the canter today I had to lean on my horses neck because I couldn't hold my strength up. I have just come out of a bad sickness, could this be why? What can I do to help?

It's probably because ur just sick or u don't have a strong enough core. Work on core exercises
If you never used to lean its probably because your sickness weakened you a little bit. Concentrate on getting better, eat enough and drink enough and maybe do some exercises to strengthen your core like sit ups etc. hula hooping is also very good for building your core strength
