Horses are coming from Europe because it's where the sport began and where all the good breeding operations are. So you have transport fees boarding/training expenses that augment the final cost. The price needs to cover all these expenses! But the client also pays for the expertise of the seller. Finding a horse with great quality is hard. It requires alot of time, travel and knowledge to find the perfect one to send in America.
