Do you usually clip your horse's entire legs in summer? Why or why not?
Yes! I do, it gets very hot in Africa and it’s easier to keep the horses cool, handle sweat under boots and keep them in good shape for competition when the legs are clipped
I don't. My horses are outside 24/7 currently. They need all the fly protection they can get. Plus, I don't show enough or at a high enough level for it to matter. I usually show without clipping anything at all.
Horses usually lose their coats in the summer! Clipping usually done in the winter. Unless you are competing then no need to clip
I just clip up to the knee on the front and hock on the back excluding clipping the hock and
I don't because the color difference is really noticeable for my horse and I also feel like it leaves him a bit more susceptible to flies.
