She's in just a plain loose ring snaffle
My horse used to do that and I tried a different bit it helped a lot
It could be allergies so if it doesn't stop have your vet come out. But also try to pick your hand up to prevent them from putting their head down
Perfect it at the trot first sorry!
It took me forever to teach my horse half halt but the only other advice i can think of would be to perfect it at the canter first and maybe lunge a fee times a week cantering to teach her to balance which will make it easier to turn under saddle
Thanks guys, I do half halts but she goes plain silly, she also refuses to turn in the canter
Half halting and pressing him forward. You can also circle as that keeps him paying attention and off his gaurd. Just always press/think forward from the hind end. If his shoulders are up he cant drag you down
My mare does this too... I just try and ride through it. For your mare it could be her teeth if they haven't been done in a while, doesn't like the bit or could be allergies.
