in general very bad idea: they simply are not old enough to have gained the experience necessary and usually have poor judgment of dangerous situations at that age
Go for it! As long as the 12 year old knows what they are doing. Though I would recommend an adult to be present in case of emergency
Age doesn't really matter. As long as the 12 year old is confident in what they're doing and knows what's what. A horse is better off being broken by a competent 12 year old than a 25 year old who has no idea what they're doing. The only issue with a child breaking a horse is making sure that they're parents know all the risks
im 12 and i break in all my own horses! well i have had lots of experience
If the 12 year old knows what there doing, then it's fine, but it's always a good idea to have a trainer there to help.
I think it's a great idea! Keep in mind it will most likely be a lot harder because they have no previous knowledge of anything. But it's not impossible just keep in mind help and knowledge from others always helps and patience is key:)
i mean if they have all the knowledge and maybe some help from a trainer i think it's fine. as long as they have all the tools needed.
