Start with a single pole! Once you master finding your stride to that, add another pole 2-3 strides away. This will help help you find and feel the stride and keep from splitting. Then you can shorten the distance between them and work work you really way into small jumps!
Adjust your stride between ground pole and cavalettis. Dont work your horse over too many jumps while you learn a concept. Find your stride, then work on bigger fences. Size is NOT important when learning to adjust your horse at the lower
I would start with a ground pole going to a jump, than a stride, ground pole to another jump. Then take of the second ground pole and make it into a bounce.
