Definitely! Someone I know has very bad anxiety and is always worried about things. Going to the barn seemed like it would just make it worse, but they had an amazing time and couldn’t wait to come back
Haveing an autism spectrum disorder horses are my therpy. Not only do I get to work on strentging my muscles but I also work on my balance and codination. Also meeting new friends and forming a bond with an amazeing animal
Every time I go see my horse, my headaches go away, and im here happy. One thing though isn't that I do get anxiety as I go over a jump heigher that 2'8" and sometimes when I ride with my trainer 'cause you know I worry abt looking bad and all that kind of stuff

I ride at a barn in SC that has a therapeutic riding program for kids and adults with mental and physical disabilities. And absolutely, there are people that have anxiety and depression and other personality disorders. It's one of the great things I live about the equine world
