What would you guys recommend so that I can advance in show jumping? I know my position and ground work are good but my trainer doesn't let me jump a lot. Like once a week

One of the most valuable exercises you can do is adjusting stride (shortening and lengthening between ground poles or two spots in the arena) and having a supple horse what can do lateral work and lead changes with ease.
My trainer is the same way but you have to really know the flat work first it's most important & you don't want to overjump your horse
Well there's a lot more to show jumping than actual jumps so I wouldn't be too worried. When I took lessons we spent a lot of time on pole work and doing strides just using ground poles, it really helped!
