Try use neck rope or mane

Grab mane!!
Remember to grip with your lower leg rather than knee, or you'll be swinging everywhere. If you use your lower leg to hold yourself into the horse's back (like sitting the trot with a saddle) you'll be fine. Jumping with or without a saddle should be the same in terms of position and basic fundamentals, you just don't have the support of a saddle and stirrups so it's a bit more work to stay balanced!
Canter to it! It is much more smooth for sure. Then when you get to the jump lean forward and grip to get a nice position over the jump. Gripping is okay when jumping bareback because you kind of have to. Then on the landing lean back a little as if you are going down a hill. Im sure you will do great! :) Hope this helps
