My horse has a Pelham and I always get confused with the reins. Do you have any tips?

Try and just keep your reins in your and and never let them go and if you don't know this put your middle finger in between the reins so they don't fold over each other and they have something in between so it's easier to hold them and the proper way
Agree with one of the below, use two different texture/material reins. I used to ride with the snaffle in between my middle finger & ring finger, the shank on the baby finger. I rode mainly off of the snaffle ring & engaged the shanks when needed.
Make sure youre reins are different materials, like rubber on the snaffle and braided on the shank
