I have a lesson this weekend and I really need help with my sitting trot. Do you have any advice? I bounce too much.

Drop your stirrups and just sit back a nd enjoy the ride, but make sure your horse is going slow so you don't bounce as much.
Don't think to hard about it ❤️
If you are working on sitting trot in the lesson, ask your coach if you can drop your stirrups. This way you can get a good feel for what it's like without accidentally standing in the stirrups
Think "from waist down I'm one with the horse". It's gonna feel really uncomfortable at first but you'll get used to it. Relax everything below your waist and let them flop while holding your chest up
keep your heels loose and let them absorb the bounce and i also tend to sit in a tiny two point(not even noticeable) so that it will not be as bouncy
Try and sit on your pockets.
A good exercise to do is if you can practice your sitting trot with your legs and knees over the front of the flaps of your saddle so it helps you to feel the balance in your seat and really sit to the trot.
Imagine all of your weight is pulling you down through your heels. Let you hips go loose and absorb the motion of the trot. Don't fight it. x
Squeeze with your calfs not your thighs
Sit deep into your heel to absorb the bounce.
