tell your trainer about it the only way it will ever get better is for you to tell them about it

Take lessons with a new coach. Share your goals and envies with him/her. Or if you were following group lessons, try individual ones or 2/3 person per lesson. You'll have more time to work on yourself and your horse.
I had this problem at one point, I was riding in a 10 person lesson. I went to another barn where we're 4 per lesson and I've never seen myself progress so fast and so well.
Switch coaches. I've been through that, trust me you'd be surprised to find out how much you've missed out
