When my gelding spooks he sucks behind my leg and turns away from the thing and I always tumble over his shoulder. Any tips to keep my eyes up or exercises to improve core strength ?

Do no stirrup work as it will strengthen your core and give you more stability when your horse spooks
drop your stirrups at the walk and pretend as if you're riding a bike and pedal. if your horse is fine with it, try it at the trot, and eventually maybe even the canter. you may feel like you're gonna slip off at first but eventually your core will strengthen and it'll get easier and ear
