How to get more confident to jumping distances? I catch myself of stressing about distance.

Have a nice even rhythm coming in way before the jump that you are happy with and are in control. I found that counting strides or looking for your stride is very stressful and doesn't work for me. I have learnt that counting out loud in a slow pace, no matter what pace your horse going at, because he will learn to go with you. Count from one and continue down to the jump. Try to count for more then 6 strides in and keep the same voice rhythm all the way in:) hope it helps

Don't stress too much about the distance
There are 5 factors
-Position
-Good canter rythm
-Balance on turns
-Good straight approach
-Distance
So long as you are not jumping too high, if you concentrate on the first 4, the distance will never be too bad. Gradually your feel for the distance will improve.
If you concentrate too much on the dustance you will push and pull and destroy all the rest.
ground rails are the best exercises, my distance improved a lot when I started doing it more often.
https://youtu.be/THZuNsquMpo here are some good exercises. I use lot of canter poles in everyday training.
You can training yourself with two ground rail with a certain distance between them and try to count strides! It's a very good exercise to get more confidence :)
Use canter/ trot poles before the jump, then you won’t need to think about the distance. Just keep a steady rhythm and keep your horse straight:)
