Always ask your vet to make sure but I would do lots of rest, icing, hosing with strong water pressure and using resting leg wraps. Depending on the extent of the injury they might need other treatments and it might be better for them not to walk too much. Again, only a vet could say for sure.
Depending on the level of injury, it's a nasr injury I hd it with my old stallion and took me six month to recover. I recommend walks on hand on solid ground increasing the time progressively. And I recommend ice boot sessions or a cooling cream every day. I also recommend that you consult a vet and do a sonar/X-ray To know how severe the case is.
