It's a big deal in America too. Part of the problem seems to always be a sense of superiority -- that one person has the only one, true way, so they feel entitled to belittle anyone that does things different. I hope they manage to change some things over there and set a good example!

Yes. I can't really speak to events in the UK but it is very much prevalent here in Ireland. It is very much as case of who you know and how well lined your pockets are in some instances that influences decisions. Sadly though while this may highlight some issues I do not think it will solve the problem as a whole. It is very much a reflection of how the sporting and business industries are nowadays.
