Ask Eric Navet : How should I improve my trot canter transaction? And also, how should I approach the jump I’m riding up to so my horse won’t refuse?

For your trot and canter transition, sit deep, inside leg at the girth, outside leg behind, swoop with the seat, and squeeze with your legs. When jumping, make sure you have an even contact on the reins and try to feel the horse’s mouth. Keeping your leg on won’t hurt either
