You’re better off riding once a week with not stirrups than for a whole month. It ends up being the same amount of rides stirrupless over the course of a year. It prevents both your soreness and yours horses if you’re bouncing around!
roll out your leg muscles using a tennis ball and ice baths!!
The more you practice the more your body you be less sore! Yes stretch and try bareback too.
stretch before & after a ride. stay active & drink water
Stretching after a ride can help
Not only do I incorporate no stirrup work weekly, but I do regular light weight leg exercises at home. I also take PEScience Amino IV (branch chain Amino acids, essential amino acids + electrolytes) which helps with recovery & soreness for your muscles.🤗
Work on no stirrups even when it isn’t no stirrup november and then also stretch when you get home from riding!
