What are all the different types of breast collars and what are they used for? Like the differences between 5-point, 3-point, the y-looking ones, and the straight across ones?

So in general most people use breastplates tos tip a saddle sliding back or if they need to use rings. The different names refer to the way the breastplate connects to the saddle and a lot of it is personal preference. 5 point ones connect to the girth in 3 places and twice to the saddle. Three point connects to the girth and twice to the saddle. Y point is the same as a 3 point I'm pretty sure and the polo ones or aright across ones only connect to the girth straps (usually). It's personal preference what you use. I like ones with elastic in them as they have more give over a jump and I use a 5 point on my TB because she has quite large shoulders and a 3 point on my stockhorse because he is much smaller. Some people don't use breatplates at all, hope I've answered your question
I'm not sure of any more off the top of my head. I'm just trying to decide which breastcollar would be best for my horse and my own needs as a rider! Thank you so much to whoever answers ☺️
