A very balanced position and not trying to affect the horse too much.
One that's strong, and balanced. One that doesn't hinder the horse and stays above their centre of gravity. This changes slightly depending on height of rider and of jump. Generally, knees bent like a spring, ankles flexible, arms reaching forward with the head of the horse, bent at the waist with hips pushed back slightly. Whether or not you come out of the saddle is a matter of some debate. I do. The amount of bend in the knees and waist depends on the horses centre of gravity, your height, and the height of the jump.
