It can take a bit of time
But the more you ride him
The better your relationship with him can be
That was my experience and now my horse loves me
So just give it time and good luck 🙌
Not necessarily, most people say it takes 6 months to a year to get used to and bond with a new horse. Go for a really long trail ride at some point, just have time with each other and also tell your instructor that you're not bonding so they know and could help. Trust your horse and they'll trust you, it may take time but it'll be worth it in the long run
Spend lots of time with your horse, groom them, give them lots of treats, even go just sit in their stall/paddock so they get used to your presance and start to trust you more! One of my favorite things is giving my horse massages, I have a massage mitt and curry gloves that my horse loves!! I also love to go out and sit in my horses paddock, and take her for long walks as well as spoling her with treats!
All bonds are formed with the same foundation: trust. You said your horse is new, meaning that you've had it for a short period of time. It takes months to years to develop strong bonds. A lot of trust and time must be shared on both sides of the relationship. To improve your bond, numerous things could help such as groundwork, riding, grooming time, playing with your horse, trail rides, and more. Doing these things regularly will help you bond with your horse. Hope this could help! Best of luck to you!
It takes time to bond, even if there are horses who are really sweet and seem to enjoy you, they probably do it with everyone lol.. but the real bond is based on trust, and sometimes you won’t even get it since is more difficult with older horses. For example you would get the ideal bond growing a foal, thing that can’t happen with a grown horse
