Pretty much every time I jump I'll start with a crossbar with a pole before and after it about 3 feet out. This will help with getting the right distances and the back pole will back the horse up and stop them from rushing.
I do bending lines, blockage jumps, alot of halting 1-2 strides after the fence and trot/canter poles help. To grt your horses knees tucked I stretch their legs before getting on. Hope that helps!
