Do you have tips for getting a horse to use their hind end more?

Use poles on a circle and let him canter over them (I always use 3-5 poles and spread them on the circle with 3 meters in between)
A good excercise I find for hind engagement is riding transitions on a circle, changing the gait (halt, trot, walk) on quarter points. Start by transitioning every half of the circle, then transition each quarter. In constantly changing from walk to halt to trot (in any order), the horse keeps an active hind. Hope how I wrote that doesn’t sound too confusing 😅
Leg, leg, leg, no to go forward but th get his hind legs working, and lift up his front
