I swear by Omega Horseshine, I've given it to all my horses and they all have gorgeous coats. It's very cost effective and easy to feed.
What's special about Flaxseed is it has the correct blance of Omega-3's and Omega-6's. When something has the incorrect balance of these, it's actually bad for the horse, like corn oil
Hey! I use a simple and cheap thing and they really like it: Gelatin Powder! I choose their favorite flavor and give one or two tablespoons at dinner time! Their coat is shiny and their hoofs are a lot stronger! Hope it helps
I find 1 tablespoon of coconut oil helps for coat shine, and if you add 1/4 cup of aloe vera juice and 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar helps with their coat as well and is good for their gut as long as it’s not overdosed
Chia seeds! I use them on my pony who gets rubs very easily and now she has none after I started feeding them
You can use coco soya or smartpak flax supplement, smartpak has a very wide variety of coat and skin supplements that are tailored to your specific need.
I use flax oil in nutrena’s empower balance
I used Dengee Alfa-A with oils as my chaff because it kept the horses looking shiny and healthy. But you can’t just rely on a feed to make a difference if you don’t put the elbow grease in with your body brush.
I put linseed in my horses feed only about a mug full and their coat is now looking extremely healthy
