I have a 2.1 degree in BSc(Hons) Business Management (Equine) from Imperial College London. It’s probably not what you would need if you wanted to become a rider or work with horses but it has taught me a lot about managing my own business, which is essentially what a yard is!
I think in this industry you cannot have enough experience. I am still constantly learning! I would advise anyone wanting to have a career to get as much experience on as many types of professional yards as possible. Have a good attitude, make the most of every opportunity and build good contacts! The horse world is a small one it helps to know people.
Thanks for your question!
