I can't see you getting covered by insurance, but I don't know the laws of your country. If there's a therapy centre close by, or one that would be under the same laws, you could ask them?
So my horse is very gentle, calm, and extremely friendly. She has never kicked out at a human or tried to bite someone. Everyone says she should be a therapy horse, and I would love that! Once a kid with really bad anxiety who also was a germaphobe came and brushed my horse and even rode her! It was so unlike him to do anything with the horses, but my horse just slept the whole time, which I think calmed him down and he had so much fun. Anyways, I would love for her to be a therapy horse, but I don’t want to sell her or move barns.
Is there a way that I could have people with anxiety (or other mental illness that could be helped by therapy animals) come and spend time with her? Would I need contracts and would I need to make it a real business? Thanks!
