How can I be more conscious of my shoulders while cantering and what exercises would you recommend? I tend to roll my shoulders and ride the canter with my back not just my seat.

I sometimes do an exercise where I take my crop and place it behind my back and through my elbows to straighten my back and force my shoulders back. I would do this at the walk to begin with then as you get more comfortable you can work through all the gaits. Doing this many times creates a habit to keep your shoulders back and your back straight.
