What are the essentials for a grooming kit, and do you have some grooming advice?
What everyone else said! I’d also keep a rag in there for days when your horse is muddy and you have to pick their feet you can wipe your hand so on that
What everyone else said! I always have an extra hoof pick in case mine gets lost, stepped on, or bent. I’m my opinion the hooves are the most important part of grooming! A must have for me is also baby wipes!!! What would I do without them?! You can wipe your horses nose, face, and you can do a quick wipe down of your tack too. I would highly suggest getting baby wipe
Thank you guys!
All of the above^ and rubber bands, I personally prefer the hoof pick with the hard brush on the end, sponge, hoof oil brush
I’m pretty basic when it comes to my grooming kit but curry combs, metal currys, hard brush, soft brush, flick brush, mane and tail comb, and hoof picks. My essentials would be metal currys/magic brushes which easily remove dried dirt and mud from your horse and towels...cause they can be used for pretty much everything!
I have a body brush, micro fiber mit, face brush, mane and tail brush, hair gel and plaiting elastics as well as a mane comb, hoof pick, mane and tail detangler, coat shiner and shoe polish (for black feet!) in my box as well as my hair net and hair clips, bridle number and string :)
