How do you stop a horse from pulling the reins out of your hands when we stop? I got her checked and it's not a pain issue, I believe it's a bad habbit.

Hello Ashley!

If your horse still pulls when you stop, it is probably because you keep pulling too.

Don't forget to stop pulling right at the moment when he stops, you may have too much hands.

Keep your shoulders behind and if he pulls put him back on the walk and try again after. He needs to understand that he can extend himself while you give him authorization, if he does it without authorization, he keeps working.

You can also make a little jolt . You need to release with your fingers but don't release all of the contact.

I hope i could help you :)
