What is the cheapest alternative for a fat supplement and where can I buy the alternative?
My horse can’t digest grain bc it had sugar in it and his muscles are not able to digest sugar. He had to be on a high fat no sugar diet. He gets alfalfa and coastal hay daily and he is currently on alfalfa pellets and beet pulp to make up for the little to no grain he is getting. Also I did not ask for you opinion on how I feed my horse or what you think I am doing wrong. We are trying to find a way to fix this issue
Why does your horse need a fat supplement? It could be you’re not feeding enough forage or forage suited to a horse to meet their nutritional requirements. What type of feed do you feed now and what type of hay?
Thanks to everyone!!💚💚
Hello Sophie :)

You can use a mixture with several oils as Isio 4 oil (sunflower oil, grape seed oil, canola oil and oleisol).
Purina Amplify is a great Fat supplement
If you mean a fat oil, I know some people have used linseed oil. X
Maybe oils such as rice bran oil or canola oil?
Fish oil?
Hi, can I ask what you mean by a 'fat' supplement?
