On the ground, it is definitely when my mare ran off with the crossties still connected to her halter and started running everywhere. She was very lucky because the crosstie only got wrapped around 1 of her back legs, and the cut was pretty mild. It took a while for us to catch her, but luckily I was the only one who got hurt bc she knocked me down when I stood in front of her running at me, but I should have known that wasn’t gonna stop her, I decided to move out of the way at the last minute but she still ran full force into my arm, which knocked me down to the side. And to think this was all because of clippers🤦🏼♀️. But my scariest time on a horse was probably when I was cantering on a gelding that I knew well, I just hadn’t ridden him for a week or two because I was away, but he was a school horse so it didn’t matter. He had warmed up great at the trot, so I started cantering and at a bush he must have saw something (still to this day we don’t know what) and bucked, and I just went up onto his neck. He was pretty freaked out by this so he started galloping with me on his neck, he just grabbed the bit and went, nothing I could really do. Right before the group of horses waiting to canter we’re standing, be bucked again and I landed like a rag doll on the fence of our ring. That is all from what other people have told me, I don’t remember anything past getting on his neck. I had to go to the ER, but after some x-rays they said everything was fine, just take it easy.
