In my opinion tall boots are the most comfortable of all. I bought my first pair one month before my first competition. It doesn't matter what "level" you have reached. You should try them!!
I waited until I was showing at C shows around my area to get them. I was showing in the 2’6” jumpers before I got them
For schooling honestly I'd just invest in comfortable paddock boots and half chaps. If you're going to be showing in anything other than tiny schooling shows, you need tall boots once you're over 12 or so (in the US anyways). Doesn't matter the division. Luckily, you can usually find used tall boots that are still in good shape at a local tack consignment store or online.
So I was thinking about getting a pair that does fit me. But I was wondering if I should wait since I'm not a very advanced rider. I only do walk trot canter, and jumped a couple small cross rails, and won't be jumping anything bigger for a while ( my parents don't want me jumping 😭😭). So any thoughts/ opinions...?? Thanks!!
